For those of you who like to follow the Formula Drift event, the name of the drifter from the US, Chris Forberg, would be familiar in the ear. Drifter who is incorporated in the team NOS Energy Drink and Hankook Tires is indeed one of the big names in Formula Drift because of his flashy performance.
Able to win Formula Drift in 2009, 2014, and 2016, Forsberg is currently still recorded as a drifter with the most titles in the biggest drifting competition in the United States.
Not only that, Forsberg has also recorded another brilliant achievement; from being a Formula Drift Champion and Triple Crown Champion in the same year (2009), breaking a record five podiums without a finish outside the top four (2014), the top podium winner in Formula Drift history, Top Qualifier with some 1st Place spot, and became one of the most winning drifters in Formula Drift history.
Forsberg's interest in racing world itself has been felt since he was six years old. At that time, he often do cycling with his brother. At the age of 10, he began to recognize the car race after watching the drag race event with his uncle at Maple Grove Raceway Park, Pennsylvania.
Seeing his cousin do a sliding action on the track using a motorcycle, became the forerunner of Forsberg interested in drifting. Starting from drifting using a tractor has a family at the age of 14 years, Forsberg also ventured to borrow his friend's MKIII Supra to practice drifting in the parking lot when he was getting a driver's license.
His passion on drifting grew bigger after he watched Initial D and Option Videos. This is what affected Forsberg to sell his truck and buy the Mazda RX-7 1988. Using the car, Forsberg is increasingly actively involved in the drift scheme on the east coast of the US.
After the US D1GP event when he was 21 years old, Forsberg finally decided to move to California to pursue a career as a professional drifter by following the Formula Drift event. The decision was very precise, because that's where Forsberg able to prove themselves as one of the best drifter in the world.
