Just like the Formula 1 logo, the new Mini logo is also made simpler by "discarding" the three-dimensional impression and gray accents of the previous logo-logo embedded on every Mini car since the brand was relaunched in 2000 under the guidance of BMW Group.
This simplification aims to convey the "authenticity and clarity" of the brand to move forward. The new flat logo display also makes it easier to place on various surfaces.
This new logo itself has been pinned on the Mini Electric concept car which was launched in September 2017 and then at the Frankfurt Auto Show. So do not be surprised if many consider that the replacement of this logo is a mini transition marker to a new era, namely the era of electric cars.
So far, Mini already sells plug-in hybrid cars and by 2019, Mini plans to launch its first electric car, with the possibility to become a brand that only produces electric cars.
