DISGRACEFUL, FIAT PUNTO GET ZERO SECURITY RATING FROM EURO NCAP! WHY ?

Realizing that some automotive manufacturers are extending the life of a car model by simply doing a facelift without improving the quality of components in it, the European New Car Assessment Program or Euro NCAP has decided to retest the model included in that category, for example Fiat Punto.

The selection of Fiat Punto is based on the model of this car having the same components for almost seven years before being completely replaced. The latest Fiat Punto even just got a bit of a facelift that made it look just a little different from the 2005 version.

How is the result? Surprisingly, Fiat Punto gets a zero safety rating from Euro NCAP. And when it first appeared, this car gets a five star rating. Apparently, it is because Fiat Punto does not have a seat belt warning feature other than in the driver's seat, and the absence of anti-crash braking technology.

"The fact that older cars can not compete in making security innovations, and the desires and capabilities of competitive manufacturers to meet the highest standards. Those who do not keep their cars following the latest standards are finally left behind, as the results look clear, "said Euro NCAP Secretary General Michiel van Ratingen as quoted by Top Gear.
